my story - From 'Mouse' to mentor
Growing up in South Africa as a quiet, shy child, I quickly learned the unspoken rules for girls in a patriarchal world.
Nicknamed 'Mouse', I stayed in the background - too hesitant to imagine a future beyond the limits others set for me.
From a young age, I was told my path was predetermined - "girls like us should be seen and not heard", and "we would only ever be secretaries". Those words could have defined me - but they didn't.
My turning point came in a male-dominated room, where my ideas were dismissed outright. That moment was a wake-up call: I could either choose to stay invisible or claim the life I deserved.
Choosing to step forward,
I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and resilience.
As a single mother moving to a new country, I pivoted careers, pursued education, and climbed the leadership ladder in global pharma - each step fuelled by a growing belief in myself I hadn't known before.
From "Mouse" to Mentor, I reshaped my story, proving it's not where you start but how you choose to lead your life.
Today I coach and mentor quietly ambitious leaders to find their voice, build authentic confidence, and lead with impact.

My path hasn’t been linear — and that’s exactly what gives me an edge.
I didn’t follow the traditional route. I returned to formal education later in life, and throughout my career, I’ve often stepped into leadership roles that others might have assumed required a certain background. But what I brought — and continue to bring — is something deeper: curiosity, grit, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of purpose.
This lived experience means I don’t just understand transformation in theory — I’ve lived it. And that’s what I bring to my coaching and consulting work: grounded insight, empathy without fluff, and a belief that leadership isn’t about fitting a mould — it’s about knowing yourself, owning your story, and leading from there.
